Today I called the Medical Examiner.
Nobody’s dead.
I’m writing.
And when I’m unsure, I call experts.
Not Google. Not Wiki.
Real people with letters after their name.
Enough to make the alphabet soup people jealous.
What I got was the benefit of experience.
My questions answered in detail.
An overview of a possible medical history
and many words requiring a degree in gobbledecopia.
My readers will happily suspend disbelief.
They won’t forgive sloppy research.
I don’t do sloppy.
I can look up spelling and pronunciation.
And now, I can get back to writing.
