You’re waiting for the bus when you notice one of the station lockers standing open.

Inside is a man’s coat, neatly folded.

An envelope rests on top.

Two words are written across the front:

FOR YOU

You look around.

You’re completely alone.

WHAT DO YOU DO?

You take the envelope and open it.

Inside is a bus ticket.

One way.

Leaving in ten minutes.

There’s a seat number written on the back.

Beneath it, someone has written:

BE ON THE BUS IF YOU WANT TO LIVE.

You decide you want no part of this.

You close the locker and step away.

Your bus pulls into the station.

You climb aboard and take a seat.

The seat beside you is empty.

The envelope is lying on it.
